Well done Dunedin. Putting a roof on a sporting venue was the smartest thing you could've done. Credit to those who pushed it through. What a fantastic atmosphere this stadium creates. Good walking distance to a fare chunk of the city and closely located to the University to piggyback with student related events.
A friend came to stay because they wanted to attend a game at the Forsyth Barr Stadium
I attended as well, Otogo vs Waikato. and all I can say is wow what a great stadium,
not a sports fan but the place was going off the zoo was cool to see as well as the 1/2 time entertainment
Great place to go and have a look at. Or when a rugby match is on go and enjoy the company of hundreds of other people.Near the front of the stadium there is a cafe which has lovely food, coffee, tea and drinks all very cheap.
Nothing much more to say, purpose built football stadium with a roof. Easy access and great atmosphere. The model for what the rest of the country needs to do, the hybrid grounds in Auckland and Wellington just don't work.
if you are ever in dunedin and there is something on at the stadium then i recommend coming, it is so great with a roof on so no matter the weather, great atmosphere, great seating, the whole stadium you cant fault anything.
