The Fiancee and I headed over for a nice relaxing picnic, we where able to drive up to the trees and site in the shade, had a very pleasant picnic and even a siesta.
Took the grandchildren here recently and parked the car by the wharf that is closed due to earthquake damage but had a fantastic walk along the track that follows the coast around the bay. Really fun walk and the kids just loved it discovering things along the way. It was a free activity that was a really nice family outing.

We love it here! It's so peaceful and tranquil. Lovely walks by the sea. Best of all is SHE choclaterie cafe. Grab lunch and a hot chocolate and wander down the hill.

Go to the she chocolate cafe and sit outside on the deck for lunch, great view down the harbour. Beaut drive either via the Lyttleton tunnel or over the top .
