This is a beautiful street with many different types of buildings. The museum is at one end with many wooden houses and the art gallery. Doesn't take long so worth just having a look.
This is a beautiful street with so much to see and do. There are a few coffee shop's and restaurants / pubs in this street. Some interesting artwork and of course the beautiful council building as well as the art centre and the art gallery.
Worcester Boulevard is a great walking area that is Christchurch's arts precinct. Taking you up to the Botanical Gardens there are a good number of places to explore in the street as well as there being tram stops.
This was once a lovely thoroughfare with the tram running and the arts centre along a blok from Rolleston Ave to Durham Street. Now they are rebuilding along this stretch and it wil be wonderful again - in the times to come. I will review again once progress is made.
We had googled about Sunday Markets downtown in Christchurch and this one came up. We were most impressed with the Woodcraft Gallery - Fine NZ Woodcrafts. GORGEOUS woodworking. There was a vendor had some fun earrings at the front of the entrance as well. I snagged a pair. :) The walk along Worcester Blvd is lovely as well.
This is a lovely street to have a nice stroll in. Begin from cathedral square, walk on the bridge over the Avon river and continue towards the botanical gardens. The street features the tram route, several (closed) museums and galleries and several open market style shops, selling mostly wood products.
Stopped here for breakfast and coffee. Coffee is reasonable, but the food selection from the cabinet was quite limited and the croissant I had was average, staff seemed bored, I think there are better places in Christchurch.
