My 2.5 year old loved it here. she is train mad so the train and tram rides made her day. The visit to the printery to make her own name stencil (with a little help) was also great fun. We saw almost everything in about 3 hours which was perfect for a toddler. We visited on Queens birthday Monday so... 更多
I visited Ferrymead for the first time in June, with my almost 8 year old son. He liked the model trains, playground, aircraft, fire engines, and even the historic buildings. I had a more critical eye. The place clearly needs major funding, it does not appear to have been built to any plan, and unfortunately felt deserted - as it... 更多
I found the special steam train ride great, very cool and dot he tour of the park on top of the tram, its a great way to see everything. I'm not in to model trains but the display is amazing, the volunteers are great. limited eateries and the park does have a few gaps in the general store and nothing... 更多
I am sure that a lot of good people volunteer a lot of time and hard work in this attraction but it really needs some investment and slicker organisation to encourage more of a successful turnover and events calendar. It's a shame really as with investment it could be a really even better attraction for tourists.
There is something for everyone at ferrymead heritage park. I tend to go there mainly for the driving range, great value entertainment that's for sure. There's also a wee course, paintballing and other entertainment, certainly worth a look in. Cheers!
Absolutely love Ferrymead Heritage Park and you can make a real day of it from riding trams, steam trains, eating Devonshire teas, with scones baked in the coal range, in one of the early houses on site, or looking in shops set up as museums of NZ early history. The collection of fire engines is amazing and any history buff... 更多
This attraction has been upgraded to a high standard since being devasted during the Christchurch. We thoroughly enjoyed a ride on the tram and a most interesting commentary about the restoration of trams and buses.
We ventured here on Easter Monday and enjoyed looking around this heritage park. It is quite large and spread and is effectively a large collection of old buildings and 'museums'. There are historic trams to ride-on and if you go on the correct day you can get a short ride on a steam locomotive. The heritage park is certainly not... 更多
My wife and I spent a good four hours going round this site. It is well worth a visit and gives a good impression of what life must have been like in the early 1900's. The tram ride was great and we were shown around the tram workshops where they are currently restoring various trams. It is amazing how you... 更多
Take the children and explore the city's earlier history. Lots of things to see and if you like model trains you will enjoy the minature railway with various lines and trains operating.
