we were two couple who visited in November 2016. It was not expensive to visit - being $NZ 20 for adults and seniors concession available $NZ15. The day we visted was very quiet with only a few people there. The park gives you an overview of Old NZ - back in the early days. On Sundays the park has trains... 更多
Ferrymead Heritage Park provides a full day of exploration, learning and entertainment. There is so much to explore and see. I highly recommended visiting on a Steam day to take a few rides on the steam train. If you're a local visitor the annual family pass is an amazing deal! - we weren't that lucky.
Really loved this place. Pity there aren't more people there in the week. It will be a real shame if this place can't keep running. I particularly enjoyed the camera collection they have as I'm into photography. Would be a great location for movie sets and photography shoots, ghost/Halloween tours, Christmas lights like the one at motat. Would love to... 更多

I got talking to the volunteers who have a personal connection with the items that they are restoring - very passionate, knowledgeable and helpful. I'd previously gone on a weekend day when the boilers had... 更多
Being an adult an on a visit to New zealand i wouldn't suggest you to spare time for this, South Island is more than beautiful to explore.
An interesting day, a large variety of buildings and attractions to look at. + Make sure you go the 1st Sunday of the month as this is when the steam train goes (the track is pretty short but is great all the same) + They have the world's only operational steam tram, which was pretty impressive (the staff member running... 更多
My 2.5 year old loved it here. she is train mad so the train and tram rides made her day. The visit to the printery to make her own name stencil (with a little help) was also great fun. We saw almost everything in about 3 hours which was perfect for a toddler. We visited on Queens birthday Monday so... 更多
I visited Ferrymead for the first time in June, with my almost 8 year old son. He liked the model trains, playground, aircraft, fire engines, and even the historic buildings. I had a more critical eye. The place clearly needs major funding, it does not appear to have been built to any plan, and unfortunately felt deserted - as it... 更多
