Plimmerton Beach is ideal for children, particularly at or near high tide. It is safe for swimming and generally free of any big waves. We did a walk on the coast from Plimmerton to Paekakariki. The beach is really peaceful on a sunny day and you can either walk alongside or just have a picnic. This would be great for families and friends who want to chill out on summer's day!

Gorgeous beach for a walk in this lovely out to town bay. No matter what weather there is always something to enjoy. Great cafe , public toilets and cute shopping nearby.
