well "ventilated", colorful and relaxed people. Around Anzac day, we have seen all the preparations that were made in this area and I was impressed
Did enter this thinking that this was going to be slightly dull. Found totally the opposite as the children found it very interesting and i enjoyed reading up on the local history. Spent several hours in the place and all the family enjoyed it.
This is a beautiful park. It is an excellent place to go running if you are visiting the city and want a safe place to run. It also has some stellar picnic places.
Be more helpful with more direction signs to the limited number of entrances to a very large park. Lots to see and do with Auckland Museum as the centre piece.
We may not have visited every corner of the domain but have found parking to be manic and a lack of intimate zones...it seems there is green spaces but that is it...more gardens and sculptures would add to a more relaxing experience....boardwalks through growth, aviaries and butterfly houses as found in other domains would be enjoyable.
take the bus from downtown Auckland to this lovely and large park, complete with gardens. You can wander about in the park for free, although the Museum will cost you to enter.
Great for kids and adults alike. It has gardens, gorgeous trees, cafes and restaurants and the museum. Sooo close to Auckland CBD - you have to go! I love sitting up and watching people play crickets on the weekend - it's such a kiwi thing to do.
I love the domain. Lie back on the grass and just enjoy the day. Visit the museum..its great. Stroll through the Wintergardens. Take one of the paths and enjoy the enviromnent. Regular events held here. Big wide open spaces for children to play.
