There are a lot of things to see and do in this park and this is one of them. The area is a nocturnal gray amphitheatre and the "geyser" fountain that comes on now and again is quite brilliant! It is a great spot to sit and reflect and to have a picnic.
Very touching. Many walkway stones have engravings for women's organization, clubs, etc. There are so many -- quite astonishing. Also, some statues here and there add to the walking experience on this theme.
This area is just a few minutes walk friom the War Memrial in King's Park. A great spot for a picnic. The fountain is superb.
This area also serves as a natural amphitheater in the summer months for concerts.
This was a lovely part of the Gardens and an interesting story was told to me by a volunteer guide. To raise funds to build this memorial every woman's organisation in the region was asked to ask their members to contribute one shilling to the fund.
