There are breath-taking views at every turn! From the lookout you can catch the sunsets over Lake Argyle or overlook the Lake Argyle Dam Wall. Driving over the dam wall is interesting in itself and the park area at the bottom is great for picnics or fishing. While visiting Lake Argyle make sure you visit Durack Homestead Museum. We took the sunset cruise out of the resort and it was fantastic value. Interesting and witty commentary and wonderful scenery. The boat was comfortable and spacious and was equipped with a clean toilet. We stopped for swimming which was great fun and drinks and food was served. The servings were generous and a lovely party atmosphere prevailed as the... 更多
Lake Argyle has beautiful scenery and is an immense lake in the middle of nowhere. The bare hills and islands that stick out the blue eater that stretches for kilometers is something else again. You really need to take a boat tour to get the full significance.
We did the sunset tour pick up from Kununurra and return, and bus driver Ben , and boat captain Greg, were fantastic , and the information and experience was first class, with flora, and fauna, revealed , and the swim choice excellent .
The view from the lake goes for miles and miles. It ends up looking like the sea where the lake and sky meet on the horrizon! From the boat, you get to visit numerous islands to see wallaroo's, kangaroo's, cat fish, spiders and many fresh water crocs - the lake is home to 25,000 of them...its quite a faite to... 更多
Surpassed all my expectations. Absolutely stunning scenery. A must see. Great place to have a picnic too and you can unhit h b your caravan and leave it at the caravan park while you drive through.
The lake is a massive expanse of warm water nestled in beautiful hills and rock formations. The wildlife is amazing with fresh water crocodiles, rock wallabies, flash and numerous bird species. The lake can be used for all water activities. A day is needed to get a feel for the lake and it's inhabitants. A boat is needed to see... 更多
What a beautiful place! The hulls and rocky outcrops jut out of the landscape and are simply breathtaking! Such a surprise this place as we hadn't researched it. Lake is huge. Recommend doing a boat tour (we ran out of money and couldn't but could see the value in doing one!). We tried fishing below the dam wall and had... 更多
We visited at 4.30pm. The colour of the rocks, hills and the lake was amazing. So much water! It is worth the long drive from town. It was sad to see that a wildfire had torn through the area only 48 hours earlier so there was lots of black trees. But still well worth a visit.
