Travelled here with a group of friends via the Ashburton road, camped at the Mt Augusta caravan - helpful and friendly, great facilities, clean, fire pits with a beaut view of Mt Augustus. Countryside was amazing, skies so blue and the most amazing stars at night. The walks and drives well worth doing.
very nice drive to this faboulos climg we had here at mopunt augustus , very hot so make sure you have lots of cool water with you for the journey
Once past the closed wet roads we got to the tourist park and were welcomed. The only real rules were to stay off the great outback lawn with wheels. The showers were old but good hot water. The rock has some nice spots to walk and visit for a day and one 12kmr return walk which works out for another... 更多
Fantastic Mountain. The campsite is on the north side, but the best place to climb to the summit is on the south side, so one must drive around the rock. It can be a six hour walk up to the summit on a grade 5 walk, so one must be fit, have sufficient outback experience, know about bushcraft, carry plenty... 更多
