My husband and daughter ducked in here to avoid the crush of the Boxing Day sales. It was welcoming, clean ,perfect temperature ,calm ( the cricket was on but at perfect volume) .The selection of beers etc was perect( including Guinness on tap..nicely poured!) .They serve a good range of very tasty pub grub ..and we had home made plum pudding... 更多
I opted for a Sunday roast of beef with vegertables and yorkshire pudding. The meat and vegetables were good but the yorkshire pudding was verging on being inedible. The meal was $23. A pint of beer was $12 and a glass of red wine $9 Service was friendly and efficient,
Warm welcome, cold beer Unfortunately so we're the vegetables and the Yorkshire pudding was abysmal. Great service and sharp knife. "There are books of which the backs and covers are by far the best parts." Charles Dickens
Visited on a Friday evening. Pub was busy and the open plan nature and decor was reminiscent of a English working mans club. Had Nachos which were ok and we were told in advance that there was a half hour wait for food. Generally, an ok place for a quick pint whilst in town but not a place to linger.
Good bar food and friendly atmosphere. The prices are reasonable and the venue very comfortable. We had a good Saturday night out with friends. Service was friendly and the beer cold.
London Pride smelled and tasted like vinegar. Green King IPA wasnt much better. Told the staff they were very dis-interested. you need to clean the lines abit more regularly. Elephant and Wheelbarrow also have it on tap no problems with it there.

I felt the meal that I had here was average, to say the least, with a cost of $42.00 for Fish and Chips, plus two beers was a little excessive. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was different, but I'm afraid that it ends there.

It is furnishes in a 1800's style with lot of wood on the walls etc. The food in the dining room is very good although there is not a great selection it would satisfy most tastes. The lady running the dining has... 更多
