The road up to the top of Mount Buffalo is long (over 30km) and windy with a steep drop off one side in many places. Rode up the mountain on my bike in February. It is the most scenic ride in the state and easily the most popular mountain for cyclists to climb. The gorge offers wonderful views but the views from the horn which is the highest point of Mt Buffalo are breathtaking. I came back later the same day and had a picnic... 更多
Certainly worth the drive up the mountain. The views are breathtaking and if you like a walk then there are trails everywhere. Great to see the Chalet is being refurbished to its former glory as this will just add more to the experience.
Whether you visit for a day or camp at Lake Catani. A visit to Mt Buffalo is always worth it. The Plateau and surroundings give you a great idea of flora and fauna of Northeast Victoria. Spectacular Gorges, paragliding, cycling, hiking ..... all great!
Winding and narrow tracks that nearer the top are better suited for four wheel drive vehicles, give fantastic views of the surrounding countyid.
