We used to go over as CFS escorting the fuel run on the ferry very early morning so we wound stop at Prospect Hill and challenge each other with a race to the top. I lost most times. I have forgot how many steps there are but a lot. The Views are just great. You look down on the narrowest... 更多
From the council website... "A section of the Prospect Hill Lookout steps has failed and requires the walkway to be completely closed to the public until further notice. Please advise visitors that the lookout is closed and that they should not attempt to scale the Hill which is steep and unsafe"
A steep walk that's not for the feint hearted or infirm! Well worth the effort as the views are spectacular! Go on a cool day or in the morning!

There are also some very interesting information boards on Matthew Flinders and on the wildlife you may encounter in the area. You cannot fail to be impressed by these views, highly recomended.

512 steps to the top, and the climb is not that difficult. I noticed that it is a stopping point for most of the tour buses. It is a good view from the top.
