A friend and I spent a few very engrossing hours viewing 2 of the current displays at the City Hall. History of Brisbane and Golden Age of Hollywood. The photographs in the former are wonderful and being in the CBD at the time allowed comparisons to be made in real time. The gowns in the Hollywood display are just gorgeous... 更多
Went there during Christmas eve. The light show at night. I didn't have enough time to walk through the whole building as I went there on their about-to-close time. But i still able to grab some brochures and read about it on my own.
Freakin fantastic. Highlight of my trip. Tour guide David was great, the auditorium is mind blowing and the basement has something special for those who have a interest in WWII history. Also did the clock tower which was great. Don't miss this!
Our tour guide told us we should go up the clocktower after our tour, and we are so glad we knew to do this! Only a small wait and it is a fantastic view!
Been there recently after all the refurbishment and it looks amazing! There is so much history about Brisbane and Queensland in general in this place. Definitely worth a visit!
What was the tallest building in Queensland until the 1960s is open again for business. There is just so much to do inside City Hall I don't know where to begin! Definitely go up the clock tower and take a free tour of the hall. It is also very worth your time to visit the Museum of Brisbane. Finish your... 更多
I just love City Hall. Loved the Hollywood Gowns display to which I went twice, the Anzac Concert was superb as are the weekly Tuesday concerts which I often attend
Great, informative, interesting and entertaining. Lovely way to spend time in the beautiful City of Brisbane. Went to the Movie Costumes exhibition after the the tour and found it fascinating.
We did a tour of City Hall last year in a group and I found it had certainly changed from my days of fancy dress school dances. The Auditorium is lovely and I am sure the acoustics would be wonderful. The guides are full of great information about this City Icon.
Brilliant imagery and insight into the development of Brisbane, it's folk and life in a river city. Thoroughly recommend- takes about 1.5hrs to get through the small museum
Since this venue has recently been refurbished, it is a great experience for young and old. The history of Brisbane and surround is well presented and one gets in inside of the running of the city council.
Brilliant. The Exhibits are excellent. Go on the guided tours to the top of the City Tower Clock in one of Australia's oldest gated lifts, and visit the bronze dome. It is free too. Amazing.
The refurbished City Hall is a joy. Spend time looking at the museum. The movie costumes display is particularly enjoyable. If you can manage a guided tour, do it. No visit is complete without a cuppa and something nice to eat at the Shingle Inn. The adjoining square appears to be high on the international tourists photo must do.
