its an amazing structure in the middle of Brisbane city, overlooking King George Square. It is quite amazing building to see, and the surrounding area has plenty of bars and restaurants. it is lit up at night and during Christmas period they have nightly light shows and a large Christmas tree next to it!
The city hall and associated king george square is a true space for the people of Brisbane and their visitors. It is an amazing building that has been renovated true to its origins in the 1930's. It space and a place for visitors to explore and one for locals to visit over and over. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Superb exhibition of a collection of historic photos of the area. An Anzac exhibition is about to open soon. The building is a beautiful example of stonework.
City Hall was closed for 3 years of extensive renovations. I hadn't been there for years. I loved this visit to this art deco icon! We lined up on the half hour for a free tour by a very well informed and eloquent guide: lots of fascinating details. About 20 of us. Then another tour for small group up to... 更多
Having lived in Brisbane all our lives we decided to play tourist. City hall offer free guided tours - well worth the time (45mins). Due to the size of the tour and functions in rooms we didn't get everywhere so did part of another tour - was a different take on what we had seen, but both really informative. Would... 更多
We enjoyed our tour around City Hall - a beautiful, classically elegant building in the middle of the city. Good to hear some of the inside stories and see its development over the years.
An undiscovered treasure I highly recommend a visit to the City Hall there are several eating venues, clean toilets and guided tours of the building. Unfortunate we did not have time to climb the tower but did discovery the history of the city and building via the visual, written and audio displays. A bonus was a free Hollywood costume display... 更多
Lots of great information about the building and its renovations. The main hall and the organ is amazing. Also the museum on the third floor is quite good!!! Check this place out when your downtown.
Attended the Qld Eisteddfod over Easter at City Hall, which I believe has recently been renovated. I love that it has been brought up to standard without loss of what makes it so special. The Qld Eisteddfod was fabulous - extremely high standard. Congratulations to the organisers and all who participated.
Well, its taken me a long time to visit but it was worth it.... what a wonderful building. Cant wait to go back and do the Heritage tour and the clock tower tour. Staff are awesome. Architecture is amazing.... brilliant all round.
There is a feature of great historical and cultural significance for Brisbane. The staff and the displays are well set out . Allow yourself a good 2-3 hours to go up to the clock tower and really explore this majestic building.
While in Brisbane recently, my husband and I unexpectedly visited the City Hall. It is a must do when you are next in Brisbane. It is a magnificent building and the staff were excellent and super helpful. While there, we joined a behind the scenes tour, (which was very enjoyable and informative), visited the museum, including a special exhibit on... 更多
