Not every traveller goes to the theatre (though they should-how better to experience a community and it's culture than by hearing its stories). If, like me, you search out theatre when on holidays then you cannot miss a production at Belvoir. To be clear Sydney is my home and in my home Belvoir is the best theatre to be had.... 更多
Do you admire a fabulous script? Do you enjoy wonderful acting? Do you want to be challenged? Then Belvoir Street Theatre is the place for you. Try it and you will be enthralled.
Leah Purcell has re-imagined and varied Henry Lawson's tale "The Drover's Wife" and stars in this production. The acting (5 actors in all) is excellent, the storyline very convincing and in parts, confronting. If you enjoy live theatre, don't miss this rivetting production.
We enjoy our local theaters at home in Atlanta and were very impressed with the quality of the performances in the Drover's Wife. As for the general theater experience: getting to the theater by train (Central Station) was very easy and we felt safe in the area. Drinks available pre performance and the preassigned seats were comfortable. Overall a wonderful... 更多
Call me spoilt, but I love Belvoir Street because it's like having the actors play just for you when you go to a play because its such an intimate theatre. Looking for something to do on a Friday night in Sydney and came across a play called Back at the Dojo at the Belvoir Street Theatre. Wasn't sure what to expect. What we experienced was a well written play performed by exceptional actors which made for a very enjoyable evening. Next time we visit Sydney we will check it out.
We saw a great production of Jasper Jones at this lovely, intimate theatre in Sydney. It's a fine theatre and has a varied and interesting programme through the year. Go if you enjoy theatre- we've never been disappointed
Great little theater, nice intimate setting. Excellent acting and stage management, shame about the seats and the lack of space. But well worth a visit if you don't have a back problem.
Great theatre, friendly staff, excellent actors especially Colin Friels but the production "Mortido" was just not to my taste. I'm sorry, but I was very disappointed. The sad thing is that I'm not sure if it was due to the show or the fact that more likely I am to old fashioned to have appreciated it. There's no in between... 更多
When you go along to the Belvoir Theatre to see a play you can expect staging with a difference, great acting and a mix of plays. Arrive early or stay late to enjoy a drink or nibble in the foyer. It's a very cool place to hang
