This was such a unique experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the farms many plants. He allowed us to taste several things from the trees like cacoa, mace, allspice, and soursap. The hands on component's like pollination of vanilla flowers made this special. They are open everyday.
If you're a foodie you can't miss this place. They know just about everything and can answer all your questions. They have so many different spices and know so much about them, I guarantee you will walk away with a whole new appreciation and understanding about spices. It's a nice location with a decent amount of shade and places to... 更多
The owner showed us around personally while his wife squeezed orange juice for us and gave us ziplocs of banana/plantain chips. We saw many different spices and sampled the gooey cacao fruit. Orchids are everywhere. The collection of water lilies and especially lotus are world class! Green thumbs should not miss this place!!!
The advertisement and guide shows the tour being of the whole farm but we saw only a very small portion on a short walk. I have a better appreciation for spices now though, just wish it had been more comprehensive as the guide book suggests.
We had an overcast day so we decided to go for a drive. It wasn't our intent to visit the spice farm when we set out but as we were driving along and seeing signs, I recalled reading good things about the place, so we made it a destination. We got there and had a Belikin while we waited for... 更多
Our family stopped by for lunch which was delicious and the took the hour long tour. Our small child did not want to walk and it was a bit drizzly but in a flash a small tractor pulling a trailer turned up and off we went. If i were on my own i would have walked but for the kids... 更多
Went on this tour and had an interesting time. Learned about the spices and fruit grown on the property. There was a water lily pond was beautiful. Bought some spices to take home.
Don’t go too far out of your way to see the spice farm. There are far more interesting sites in the Toledo District, especially if you are interested in farms and food. The spice farm grows mostly East Indian spices, not local Central American spices. There is nothing particularly innovative about their farming methods. This is neither an organic nor... 更多
Four of us went to the Spice Farm a year ago and had a wonderful experience. We were going to eat at the restaurant so they gave us a free short tour or the gardens before we sat down to eat. They had hired a chef that brought about culinary delights that blew our minds! Every bite was amazing! We... 更多
We had high hopes for this place since my wife and I are big into cooking. This was exactly what we were hoping it was going to be. Our guide, Fidel, was the best guide we had the entire time we were in Belize. He was extremely knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and all around a good person to be... 更多
