If it has not rained for a few days, the water will be aqua blue. We arrived after a couple days of rain and the water was chocolate milk color. But impressive none the less. If you go, look to spot "Puff, the Magic Dragon." Nearly 2 hours out of Palenque on winding roads. The drive is worth seeing all... 更多
I visited the place with an organized tour group. A young local guide joined us to walk us through the waterfalls, showing where it was safe to jump and slide (on plastic bottles:)). There are many spots good to stop and rest by the water or go in and swim. Very reccomnded! I really hope it stays clean and beautiful... 更多
Not crowded. Real jungle waterfall experience. We hired a taxi to take us and wait there for 2 hours and were glad we did. Went swimming in several areas, each time it was just us. We did hire one of the local kids to walk us around for a tip. Im not sure that we actually said we wanted a... 更多
We didn't visit the other waterfalls, but I had heard they can get crowded. This place was perfect. It was around 45 minutes outside of Palenque, on a nice drive. We just took a random taxi out there and had him stick around for around 2 hours. You basically drive into this very small village, walk into the woods a... 更多
After having a BBQ with a nearby family we went swimming in the Roberto Barios-waterfalls. It was an amazing experience with clear water and some good jumps to do. You don't see many tourists around here but more locals. Take your food and drinks with you, because there isn't much around.
My family of four (two elementary aged kids) had a great time at this waterfall. We drove there (decent signage on the road) and showed where to park. While driving there, the road was empty and we were wondering if this had been a good idea. There were several other cars and collectivos in the parking lot, so we felt... 更多
My favorite day in Palenque was spent here. Not so easy to get to without a rental car but well worth the effort of local transportation. Roberto Barrios has several falls. Be sure and gather one of the many children waiting on the road to act as your guide to the swimming falls and he'll watch your stuff for you... 更多
We visited the six falls and had a great time. The green water was beautiful and the tour guides were friendly. It was cold so we didn't swim..next time. This was our favorite due to the beautiful water and great photos.
Roberto Barrios is a series of waterfalls off the beaten path, perhaps 20 minutes from the Palenque ruins. They were breathtaking. I've been to Victoria Falls, and Niagra Falls, and though these don't come close in sheer volume, the beauty is even more extraordinary. Also, much less touristed than options like Agua Azul. We saw perhaps 15 people in the... 更多
