A tidal sandy beach with a sloping shallow sea. Weather is more often than not warmer and sunnier than surrounding area. Nearby cafe is a real must see. A fabulous family day out.
A lovely little beach with a couple of shops, cafe and public toilets. Very flat and sandy for mile which means the water does not get deep for a long way out which is perfect for young children. Rocky are for crab hunting!!! There are also life guards present which is also a bonus considering the latest incidents happing on... 更多
Despite being lined with houses and a road, this beach and the surrounding beach huts and café has a wonderfully relaxed feel about it. It feels like it has barely changed in 40 years. We enjoy the walk to West bay café (good for our hearts) and that's when we enjoy this beach. With a long stretch of sand, the sea a longish walk away at low tide, then shallow water for a long way, no dogs allowed till after 6pm, lifeguards .... this really is perfect for parents with young children.
I have to say this is one of the nicer beaches we found along this coast line. It was very sandy and clean. Plenty space for people to have an area to yourselves. There was quite a few people there but still had lots more room. Will defiantly be going back here with my children.
Spent a lovely sunny day on the beach with my 2 granddaughters. Checked before we got there that there was toilet facilities and cafe. Which were useful. The bay is sandy and safe with lifeguards on duty. It did not get crowded so there was plenty of room for them to play and build sandcastles. When the tide comes in... 更多
This is a sandy, safe and shallow beach with a lifeguard in the summer, rock pools nearby, a cafe on the promenade where you can get a meal, a glass of wine or even a cocktail in the evening. Old fashioned pub opposite, Victorian Westgate-on-sea half a mile away - well recommended
