Another place to get the D day spine chilling experience. This site is well laid out and it is possible to go inside German bunkers and think what it must have been like for all those involved in the invasion.

The site is full of history, history that deserves better acknowledgement. Some of the upgrades take away that history and makes it surreal. To me it is a German battery in the first instance, dont mix the both. The site is laid out well and i am sure has been researched well to make it what it is. I was... 更多

The Battery is steeped with so much history. It is truly miraculous anyone survived. The site is now privately owned. It is a vast area that has been restored/uncovered with its integrity intact. It is important to view this site as part of the whole picture, as it will put into perspective the vastness and power of the military arsenal that... 更多

The audio guide is great. Set off and explore. I find the manikins in some areas somewhat characterless but beyond this you get an idea of what it was about. Not far from Azeville Battery so combine them. I have been to both several times.

The battery is a large outdoors space with multiple bunkers, artillery and water compounds where the Germans used to reside before and during D-Day invasion. This is a great place to visit for the history and the stories that are told through the different structures. It is not like indoor museums, here you get to walk outside and into the... 更多

nice rescue of what is left of this historical and important relic of Hitler's Atlantic wall. Should be seen with the nearby a azerville battery. Mostly natural, some restoration, some amateurish, but worth it, skip the 1 euro audio tour, it's all in the free leaflet they give you. Be sure to sneak into the cow field across the road... 更多

Really good. Cheap and very informative. Amazing story. Still totally unspoilt. Well worth a visit. The gun case mates are unbelievable.

This is one of a number of the German batteries that made up Hitler's "Atlantic Wall". A numbered audio tour leads you thru and past the bunkers. Allow a minimum of 45 minutes to go thru it, but longer depending on how much you want to soak up.

you must do these together, they worked in tandem . The defences were not complete as Azeville, but again had been preserved. The site is now a work in progress, but you can see the potential. Again, bunkers and a small gauge railway they are repairing used to move munitions. The destroyed bunker is one down on many photographs, however... 更多
