T'malai is abode of Lord Shiva. Lord is in the form of mountain called Annamalai. Trekking around the hill i.e. Girivalam observed every full moon day. You can feel the vibration and become humbled in this holy place. Good to visit this temple city once in a life time.
In July middle 2016 I visited this temple along with family friends.(my husband included of course) I fulfilled my long lasting wish. The temple is very huge. It is one of the many must see temples of south India. It is in the foot hills of Annamalai hills. Beautiful location and view.

Shiva is in his jyotir linga state. A magnificent temple, probably over 2000 years old. Combined with the giri valam and Ramana Ashram, this temple visit will do a lot to enhance your energy quotient
The temple architecture is good. It is devotional and sacred. Usually on full moon day many people visit this temple and take a round walk around the surrounding hill and a lamp is lit on top of the hill
