Worth the hike down (and back up!) the many steps for beautiful views and a secluded, rocky beach. Recommended. And the nearby lighthouse is worth a stop on the way as well.

The scenery is so beautiful and the water has many shades of blue like the Caribbean! You can stand at the top of the steps and take pics with great views. If you go down by the beach it is very strenuous to walk down there but well worth it!
With all that is of interest on Block Island,RI,(BI) this is well worth the effort it takes to get down to the beach. The view is excellent and very reminiscent of the Ocean Road in Australia. Smaller in scale but definitely worth the time and effort. Pace yourself coming up. It is a good climb.
Lots of steps but well worth the view! There is a point where you can stop and enjoy the view or continue on the steps until you reach the beach. From there it is a hike to the edge of the water and many braver than I were enjoying exploring the beach.
