The Corlea Trackway Visitor Center was a delightful surprise. I found it on the OPW Heritage Sites map and stopped on a whim. So glad I did. The Trackway and Center are fascinating on many levels: the bog location; the prehistoric builders; the Trackway itself; and the story of the major recovery and preservation effort. It tells the story of... 更多
Hidden away in the peat bogs of Ireland is the visitor centre for this unique attraction. After watching a short film and a walk around the centre you get to see the trackway. Must say both the staff working there were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and recommended some other places to visit on our drive across to the west... 更多

I spend a very enjoyable Sunday afternoon here on an overcast and cloudy day in august and it brightened up my day. I missed the start of the tour, which meant the Audio visual presentation was on when I came in. This gave me time to wonder the attraction of the center at my own pace. they give a great... 更多

What a marvelous building and from the minute we entered the front door we were captured. The main display room is circular with a beautiful domed roof. We were met by two very friendly and welcoming attendants Breda and Noel. Immediately Noel took us around the... 更多
One of my favourite places for bringing visitors. This was the fourth time i took the drive out, also the fourth time visitors (and i) were overwhelmed by the impressive building (out in the middle of nowhere) the friendly welcome and the knowledge, history, facts and legends that are FREEly shared by several enthusiastic guides.
The exhibit itself is excellent, very well presented with information and objects displayed, but I think it's the knowledge and passion for sharing the knowledge of history in general, Celtic history, and in particular the Celtic history on the Island of Ireland which really makes this a special visit. Really enjoyed it - and admission was free.
Well worth the trip to see this really well maintained preserved piece of history and it's free. The staff are excellent and gave a lot of information.
We visited the Corlea trackway and were absolutely amazed at this amazing ancient walkway! The centre that houses it is first class! We sat through a really interesting talk given by a really friendly woman who showed everyone around. The walkway is set in a climate controlled room. There are displays of bog artifacts and plenty of information. The walkway... 更多
