Bourkes' Luck Potholes is a fun quick stop to see an odd natural attraction. The infrastructure is very well maintained, with roads, parking, toilets, paved trails, signs and an information center. The level of development and the entrance fee (R50 per person) actually felt a bit much given the extent of the natural attraction. The Potholes themselves are strange natural... 更多
We stopped off here on a Monday morning after a night at the Forever Resort Blyde Canyon on our way to Kruger. The small entry charge is R50 per person which is cheap for the opportunity to see this unusual geological formation. The site is fairly large but easily accessible from the car park and while there were quite a... 更多
This was a last minute decision for us. We took about 20 mins to drive down from Glaskop which was very scenic. They charge you about 50ZAR as entry fee and once you park its about a 10min walk to the potholes. They are best viewed from the exit bridge (that's what I like to call it) which can be... 更多
well worth it. amazing views. I concur with everyone else reviews. Great to learn the tale behind the formation of this structure - adds to the mystique of it
This area is well worth a visit. The place is a wonderful area for photographs and the Parks' board have provided good facilities. We enjoyed a picnic in the picnic area and had the opportunity to walk around - access is easy and provision is made for disabled visitors.
This natural attraction is a river canyon with natural round potholes in the rock. The rock formation, waterfalls and river make for a pretty and dramatic setting, which is surprisingly accessible. Wonderful natural attraction. We visited the Bourkes' Luck Pottholes on a Sunday (August 14th) and the place was crowded. We loved the views and the short walk but again missed some kind of restaurant.
A must see - this unique spot has marvelous sights and nice littel water falls. Do not forget to read about the geological history of this place
The potholes are fascinating formations and the entre fee is fair, but don't expect to spend more than an hour on this attraction unless you plan to have a picnic or hit one of the nearby hiking trails.
