At the buffet they offer and cut a choice of 2 meats (generously) and then you help yourself to all the rest.... 更多

Had a day in the village bra and the place was recommended by some locals. Right on the water with the house boat building history all around. Had cloudy local cider that's second to none and the staff seemed very happy and on hand. The carvery inside had anything u wanted and the day I went there was a hog... 更多
Lovely walks along the canal. Very busy with boats travelling up and down the flight of locks. Viewing platform with fantastic panaramas of the Leicestershire countryside. Interesting history of the Inclined Plane, and it's free!
We went for a walk here at the weekend. It was a lovely little place. We got to learn about how the locks work from boat owners who were happy to share their knowledge and even let my partner help open the locks. There is a nice little tea room and a pub/bar which sells food...be prepare to wait at... 更多
We visit Foxton locks several times a year and no matter what the weather is like we always have a lovely relaxed time. For the first time on our visit last Sunday we had a 'cruise' on the canal. It left us feeling very underwhelmed as there was very little to see. We were perturbed to experience the 'captain' of... 更多
Well worth a visit to this location by yourselves or with the kids! The wonderful location at the top or bottom of the locks is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Watching the many boats go up or down the locks was so fascinating! A number of good pubs and restaurants here to.
bank holiday monday wasn't the best time to go here but in spite of the crowds we had a nice time. It's free! interesting walking up the flight of locks and watching the barges moving up and down, locks filling and emptying is fascinating. Nice cafes and a pub, a canal boat ride if you fancy getting out on the... 更多
