Discovered this hidden gem on a drive around the island. Stopped for a coffee and some lunch..... what a surprise an amazing two storey thatched restaurant full of quirky features not least of all amazing timber tables and lounges to stretch out on to enjoy the tropical surroundings, On further exploration of the property we found delightful cabins set amongst... 更多
Whilst the gardens were quite beautiful and the buildings very interesting, we didn't get the tour we expected. Obviously this tourist spot plays to the visitors from the cruise ships. There was no cultural show, just a wander around the garden where you could read masses of information about the history of Vanuatu, not the gardens. We saw a couple... 更多
Very informative and interesting especially the coconut crabs, they are huge and can do some serious damage.Beautiful landscape and interesting to see the customs of the Ni Vanuatu people.
As soon as we arrived on our cruise ship excursion, we were announced with a conchshell greeting. There is an entry fee for those who just arrive there on their own accord and not by a cruise ship excursion. Our guide, Mark, presented himself in "traditional" costume. He lead us through a covered area in which there was a wall... 更多
We arrived with a cruise so time was limited. We've got in the Secret Garden in the morning. We were taken through the garden by our guide who was polite, nice and funny. Unfortunately we saw no coconut crab. but a nice boa only . It was handed to us so we could touch it. It was great. The cultural... 更多

The garden is short on actual exhibits. If you have the time (meaning hours), you can read all the sign boards and become an expert on Vanuatu culture. But you could also do... 更多
My friends and I were backpacking in Vanuatu. On a cloudy day, we decided to look for an activity and reviews on tripadvisor were mixed. We now get it. Definitely a tourist trap! Yes we did learn some of the islands history, but they simply printed out some Wikipedia pages and stapled them over walls... It's not worth the money!
Overall disappointing...Our highlight was going to Epike School and speaking with the teachers and students and the delightful vistas on the north of the island. Not all the attractions advertised were visited. Lunch was not the promised bbq, just a small piece of minute steak, sausage & some salad. Our final point of call was The Secret Garden and we... 更多
We also were met by Bob in the local markets, and took the flyer from him. It sounded great and we booked in, we took ourselves there as we had a car, and it saved $5 per person. The cultural part was very interesting and well done! Lot's of interesting facts and some tribal dancing! But where it could improve... 更多
