My friends and I were backpacking in Vanuatu. On a cloudy day, we decided to look for an activity and reviews on tripadvisor were mixed. We now get it. Definitely a tourist trap! Yes we did learn some of the islands history, but they simply printed out some Wikipedia pages and stapled them over walls... It's not worth the money!
Overall disappointing...Our highlight was going to Epike School and speaking with the teachers and students and the delightful vistas on the north of the island. Not all the attractions advertised were visited. Lunch was not the promised bbq, just a small piece of minute steak, sausage & some salad. Our final point of call was The Secret Garden and we... 更多
We also were met by Bob in the local markets, and took the flyer from him. It sounded great and we booked in, we took ourselves there as we had a car, and it saved $5 per person. The cultural part was very interesting and well done! Lot's of interesting facts and some tribal dancing! But where it could improve... 更多
Was really looking forward to a melanesian feast but all we got was a few chicken wings and stirfry. Nothing traditional about it. There was hardly any food to go around and definitely not worth the money. Traditional dancers were good but I was soo hungry by this stage I couldn't even focus. We got picked up late so it... 更多
We booked into the night time show & dinner are are so very glad we did. My family (6 of us) were in Vanuatu to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday and wanted somewhere special and different to celebrate his milestone. I recommended the as an option after reading about it in the Resort we were staying at and everyone agreed... 更多
Although they still seem to be working on logistics with transporting and organising guests, it was a great night. We thoroughly enjoyed the insight into times gone by with the magic show followed by the cultural display of dance and music. We really enjoyed the kava and the food was amazing! As a suggestion maybe you could add an element... 更多
A local man named Bob approached us at the local market, which as you can imagine, made us rather suspicious. But I can tell you now, there is no need to be weary! We were picked up by from our Villa on time (amazingly enough) and taken to The Secret Garden. First, we had a little time to look around... 更多
If you are interested in the cultural aspects of Vanuatu this is a very good night. history, fun, kava drinking and all followed by a delicious smorgasbord of local food. It is very reasonably priced and you can come back to the garden in the daytime for free.
We were approached in the street and told about the Melanisian feast night at the Secret Garden. I'm always cautious however we decided to go. We were picked up at our accomodation by a responsible bus driver and after picking up others we drove out to the gardens. It was such a fun night and we loved the informative and... 更多
