Perhaps this Château does not have the grandeur of some of it's more famous neighbours however it is a delight and the display rooms are very well presented.Will recommend a visit to any friends visiting Perigord Noir.
We had an early start and made a 9km detour on our cycles to visit this château and we weren't disappointed. It's only open for two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon so check the times.

Like most chateaux, you cannot take pictures inside, but the outside views are spectacular. Inside are some beautifully restored rooms full of weaponry, artefacts etc, the chapel is beautiful. The kitchen is particularly interesting.
Unfortunately they don't have a cafe, as it would have been nice to enjoy a meal there.
I'm sure the chateau is wonderful but what we don't like is the hours/service. We rode on our bikes up a huge hill to get to the chateau. We locked up our bikes and at 12:25 p.m. walked toward the gates only to have the gate person close it in front of us. The chateau was closed from 12:30 p.m....
