This collection is included in the visit to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. The exhibits are well laid out and several had recently been repainted but there is a lack of information. Nobody there to talk to and you are left to guess what some of trhe implements were used for.
I agree with Maxim123153. More signage would be helpful. Otherwise it is a nice collection of farming implements from bye gone eras. Some I could look at and assume its use, but some of it was well and truly beyond my limited scope of agrarian knowledge. This display does allow for some nice pictures.
This collection of farming equipment seems complete however our ancestors must have been very hardworking and strong to have actually used these to provide food from the land. We had to check for descriptions on most of them, not being from farming families, but it was still interesting and in a way awe inspiring. Just kept asking, how did they...
