A very peaceful experience. This location would make a perfect venue for a retreat. Having visited the lake several times previously in order to witness nature at different stages this visit was special as this year's ducklings were able to climb onto the roadway and the young geese (signets) were traveling on their mother's back.
It's worth bringing some bread with you if you want to befriend the ducks and swans. The nature here is just stunning and well worth a visit.

Great for a picnic, or to feed the swans( don't give them bread) or just a walk.the changing seasons are really apparent, and the many majestic trees make a very beautiful picture right now. If driving take a detour to drive by the lake, it's one way.
We found Marfield Lake buy pure chance as we drove around Clonmel and it was amazing to see so many wild birds on the lake. The ducks are especially brave as they run up to you looking for food. There are some picnic tables close to the lake if you bring your own food, just be prepared to share it... 更多
A great place to go with the kids if ever out for a walk in Clonmel. It is near St Patrick's Well and both places can be visited over an hour or two. You can feed the ducks here and the kids will love it.
