.....I want it all to myself. I've been coming here all my life and I've never stopped getting excited when you descend down into the woods and this castle appears. With so much of it left, you get some sense for how these people lived. The square footage is probably not much bigger than your average McMansion. With electronic gate... 更多
While Carey's castle is on the small side as far as castles go it is a wonderful spot to visit with a lovely walk through the woods. There are a lot of little places to explore and no area is off limits.
Nice place for a walk through the forest, not too long before you get to the ruins. There is good bit of the castle preserved, you can even climb inside. Looks pretty cool if you're into old castle ruins.
I like to go there to relax. Good walk, quite and sound of flowing stream makes me calm. Walk with gogs, strol with kids or date. Up to you...

Lovely looped walk, nice and easy for families. Great to bring the dog or have a picnic. It's a short walk, but you can explore off trail and near the stream. Lots of fun, kids love exploring the castle ruins.

Hidden away in the woods just outside Clonmel is Carey's Castle. I wish I knew more about the place but there are so many tales and stories and you can nearly make your own up as you wonder about. There are multiple treks for runners and walkers.
