What I liked about this park were the maps handed out so that you could chose what length of walk you wanted to do and what you wanted to see. The day we went was sunny and we strolled around the grounds having first had coffee and cake in the cafe which was also excellent and we could sit either...
The perfect spot for family with young children. Great playground and absolutely beautiful surroundings-ideal for walking and exploration. Lovely tearooms nearby but also ideal for picnics. Added bonus:it doesn't cost a cent to enter!
This park is free and has free parking. There is a play area next to the car park for small children. There are many walks around the park that will suit everyone. The only animals in the park are deer.
Visited as we had seen reviews on a local paper however we did not do too much research beforehand our visit.
The park would greatly benefit from a map in the car park giving an outline on the walks. We did not find a map until we visited the tea rooms.
Also we did not spot too much wildlife either...
This is a free entry park run by the state. Lovely walks and beautiful scenery and wild deer. Plenty parking and a big car park - cafe there isn't great go to the town house cafe on the Main Street instead of you feel like a treat
When having a Monday morning conversation with work Colleagues, invariably one of the questions you will be asked is ‘Did you do anything for the weekend’? This week I answered by saying I went to Doneraile Court and gardens and was surprised to find that a lot of my work colleagues had never heard of the place.‘ What’s to see...
First visit to this lovely spot.Really nice walks and only saw Deer no other obvious wildlife but this did not detract from the beauty of the place.Good play area for children and toilets at the car park as well as at the tea rooms.
Sadly we must have to say the tea rooms did not impress me it's table service...
Went here on a wet and cold day but was still beautiful! Lovely big playground for kids and tea rooms to grab some lunch. Food and service in here is very good! I say on a fine day this place would be heaven - will defo return in the summer!
Well a friend suggested that we visit Doneraile Wildlife Park, whilst the name is a little misleading we had a wonderful walk through woods and along the river. We did see deer in an enclosure, but was not aware of other wildlife. It would have been nice to see a map as well, explaining the various possible walks. We will...
