This is a great place to go if you are out for a walk. You can visit moneypennys lock which has been all refurbished some time ago. You can visit the museum.
Superb little hidden gem, we cycled from tesco in Portadown and it was a lovely place to stop on the way steeped in history. If your in the area it's well worth a stop.
Nice walk or on a bike along the tole path there is a lot of history it was the locks that started Portadown exporting stuff in and and sending stuff far away
This walk down by the lock is stunning especially in the summer..families can go for a walk along the river Bann which flows pass the lock & you can walk in both directions to either Portadown or the Newry direction. ?.there is a cottage by the lock!!
Very disappointed at the condition of the pathways. I was here years ago and can't believe how everything is overgrown. I appreciate the work of the volunteers doing excellent work to maintain and restore this unique off beat track.
