A great way to spend a weekend over at Carrickfergus at the pagent weekend. Well organised by Carrickfergus civic community and the locals always welcome the visitors. Kids well catered for with the amusements etc. Give it a go.
We found this museum as we were in the information bureau sheltering from heavy rain. Not sure we would have found this unless the information staff had invited us in. The artefacts were varied and well presented. Worth at least 10 minutes or more of your time. It was free.
Sadly the museum is tucked away and I am not sure how many people would stumble upon it if they didn't actually know it was there. However, if you do it is a lovely walk around and has some wonderful items seeped in history.
