We stayed in the Simpson Bay Area (The Dutch side of the island) and needed to rent a car to get to the Butterfly Farm. It was an extremely hot day when we went, so it got a bit uncomfortable while we were there. We were told that someone was going to give us a guided tour once we got... 更多
The Butterfly Farm is a cute place to visit while in St. Martin. I enjoyed walking around on my own more than the guided tour though. I found it fascinating to touch the butterflies. The blue ones are my favorite, but are very fast and impossible to catch. The only thing I did not like was the difference in price.... 更多
I was here and I really liked it even though I don't care much about nature and the natural world... I find it interesting a little bit, but only for about 5-10 minutes then my attention wanes, but we were here for about 45 minutes and I was fine. I was actually interested to hear about butterfly species and how... 更多
We had quite a drive to the north end to visit the Butterfly a Farm, but well worth it! So impressed with the variety and care they give to these majestic beauties. Definitely worth a visit!
This was a great side trip. The site does not look elegant, but once inside the habitat it was fantastic! Very informative tour and a dozen different species of butterflies and moths. I answered a trivia question and got to have a giant moth attached to my neck (it made for a great photo op!)
Going to the butterfly farm was my idea, not my husband's, and while I was a little worried that he would find it lame, he was a good sport and happy to go. Once we paid our admission ($15/person, I think, though it's good for the length of your trip), they sent us into the habitat and told us a... 更多
This is a great place to go to see beautiful butterflies of all kinds. Go in the morning when they open as this is when they are mating and feeding so they are most active. Wear sunscreen or cologne to attract them to you and bright colored clothes like yellow or orange. Bring a camera for great photos.
We went on a cruise out of Puerto Rico and this was our favorite tour on the cruise. The owner of the farm was passionate about butterflies and had a very enjoyabl
Enjoyed looking at all the butterflies, our guide was very informative and we enjoyed his passion for the butterflies. I was a little surprise at the cost, $15 a person. I think it's worth more like $5-10, not $15. My husband had to stay outside because we weren't trying to spend $60 to see butterflies.
Awsome, my wife wanted to go, I was not so keen, but after going there I am glad I did. Not quite as big as I expected, but very very interesting. We had a guide that talked us through the place and he was very good indeed, telling the life cycle in every stage from eggs to butterfly. There were... 更多
Well worth going especially if you have children! They actually put the butterfly on your nose if you are so inclined. Great way to learn about butterflies and have an actual hands on experience with so many different species!
Made sure to request a stop here while on a private tour of the island. So glad we did as it was one of our highlights from our visit! Spent a good portion of our day just hanging out at the Butterfly Farm photographing the many different butterflies and moths in the enclosed area as well as the orchids and... 更多
My kids fussed at the idea and loved it when butterflies were all over them. Smiles and ooohs and aaahs and great photos. Entry fee nice as you can come back on them. Went to the butterfly farm in Aruba also and it was great. Close to beaches that are good for kids also. Romantic with certain someone. Lots of... 更多
Was a bit reluctant to go but others in my family were interested. Based on all the positive reviews we decided to give it a try. Was a very enjoyable visit! Molly, the owner's daughter, was our guide, and she was great. She has a lot of passion for butterflies and it shows in her tour. Learned a lot about... 更多
We enjoyed our time here during our visit to SXM. The proprietors certainly do care about the butterflies. The tour was short but informative. And believe it or not, funny! It's a good way to spend an hour and you can return as many times as you care to during your stay.
