Wow. I love prehistoric sites but sometimes am disappointed by the setting. Not here. It's a little isolated although in summer beach-bums hang around nearby. You can walk from the centre but it's at least 20-30 minute walk. No matter, it's right by the lake and you pass through a lovely forest. The site itself is very big. I'm not... 更多
This is on the way to the lakeside walk, and well worth the detour. To touch stones carved thousands of years ago really gives a sense of awe and of the flow of time. And it is set within a nature park, that leads to the bird sanctuary and the lakeside.
It was nice to walk among such old historical monuments, which I didn't even expect to find in Yverdon. The place is pretty, well taken care of and has stands with information about the statues (in English too).
