I am not one to travel the world spending my time looking at churches but this is one steeped in history and well worth the visit. Østerlars is the largest and most beautiful of 4 Round Churches on the island of Bornholm. The walls are over a meter thick and the artwork you find inside send you back in time.... 更多
Read all the other reviews. It is an interesting place to visit. I couldn't imagine a wall with a staircase built into it but there it is. When we visited there had been a service earlier that day with Harvest offerings, would have liked to have gone to the service although not for religious reasons.....shame on me?
This church is the biggest round church on Bornholm - it is fair prized and very beautiful. Don't forget go up the narrow steps found by the alter, first floor to visit the great historic exhibition and 2nd floor to visit the ghosts...
