We hired bikes at Gavirate and loved the scenic ride around Lake Varese. Stopped at Schiranna for lunch and explored the beaches and wildlife en-route.
We walked, rather than cycled, the trail and really enjoyed being at lake level so being able to see the wildlife close-up. The trail is well signposted - a few times it comes off the lake into the streets - and you do need to take some water with you. There are refreshment areas which are well indicated on the... 更多
We biked the seven-day "Giro dei Laghi" tour from Lake Garda to Lake Orta. Highly recommended! This bit of bike path along Lake Varese was a real highlight of the trip. It's absolutely easy and would be appropriate for even rather small children. The path is shared with pedestrians, so mutual courtesy is a must, but we found this to... 更多
This trail is about 30km so be sure to have a good working bike. My bike was a bit small for me and my knees were hurting by end of bike ride since there were lots of ups and downs. Follow the bicycle road sign carefully otherwise you may become lost as I did.
Went with friends for a four-hour tour, including a good lunch and a coffee-break. The tracks go mostly in the wood, not so much by the lake, but nice anyway. We`d thought it would be more places to eat, but had to go most of the way before we stopped. But a nice, about 30 km ride worth taking.
I love this place and I have a walk there whenever possible. It is quite clean and calm, there are no loud noises, the landscape is very beautiful and even if it is crowded there is enough space not to be annoyed by other people. I recommend it in every season!
I have been wanting to do this my last few visits to Varese but never had the opportunity. We hired the bikes at Schiranna & rode clockwise as instructed. The path is well sign posted & the scenery is varied. You ride through beautiful vegetation, farm land, villages & occasionally past the lake! The track is 28km around & does... 更多
A preferred place where in every hour of the day you can see runners, cyclists and walkers from every age. At weekends, it is more crowded but not disturbing. Families bring their kids for cycling or a stroll. The path does not always run along by the lake of course but you can go to the direction of Schiranna where... 更多
