As I've detailed in my title, we visited the Church on 3 seperate occasions and had the misfortune to be greeted at the door by a Russian man who was very rude and threatening and would not let us enter. HAS ANYONE ever seen the inside ?
Nice location and small but clearly Russian Orthodox style church. Renovation is a huge undertaking. Wondering if financed by Russian Orthodox Church from Russia. If so, this is applaudible as its well invested. Will check next year on progress
I give it a 4 star because of the surprising aspect, I did not expect to see a Russian church here and I was glad to learn about this part of history. Otherwise, there is not that much to see and it would be more like a 3 star.
We were really disappointed to see that it was closed due to construction works aiming at renovating its facade. It does look really impressive on the outside, too bad we couldn't visit it..
The church is undergoing significant restoration but is still worthy of a visit. A small entrance fee of 1 Euro is quite reasonable & once the drapes & scaffolding have been removed a better viewing will be all too evident.
The church is very interesting on the outside, not so much so on the inside and very small. Never the less interesting if you have never seen a Russian Orthodox church
