Molveno is a small and peaceful place. The small village is nice and quiet with a beautiful view of the lake. The lake shore has a number of activities - swimming pool, mini golf, bike rent, paddle boat, etc.
We stopped by after a hot descent from the Dolomites; lovely refreshing swim and good ice cream and pizza from the little cafe at the car park. The beach area is attractive with grass and pebbles. There looked like a good crazy golf but we didn't have time to try it. Very popular with families. Stand up paddle boarding seemed...
No surprise it is highly rated. The lake and village area is gorgeous. Plenty of hiking trails (from easy to challenging) with views of the Dolomites or the lake at every angle. Great weather in July. Cool dry winds, sunny skies. Gets a little chilly in the evening but it is perfect with a glass of wine.
A very picturesque charming little village by the edge of Lake Molveno. Lots of hiking trails around, and activities on the lake. We had dry, cool winds and bright blue skies. The lake is a gorgeous blue - quite surreal actually. Not too many tourists around - they are evenly spread out because there are quite a lot outdoor activities...
We stayed in a hotel near the lake. We went on every possible hiking route you could take starting from Molveno. We went for the walk around the lake as well and loved it!! Very calm and beautiful lake! Not so many tourist as in Riva del Garda.
We stop by lake Molveno on every trip back from Lake Garda. The unreal blue color of the lake is due to the underlying Dolomite rock. It is simply gorgeous. There is good parking on several spots around the lake including just below the town of Molveno.
It is uncrowded with an awesome view of the Dolomites.
