Guided tour is probably essential here as its the only way to look round the house and the house would not make any sense without the tour. the gardens are huge which makes the price good value. If you are staying in Gardone this is a must see
A very interesting garden. We did not go into the house. Many unusual things to see but lots of steps so not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.
We were staying in Gardone and just walked up to see what it entailed. We bought a full tour ticket and got on an English tour about an hour after we arrived. The tour was very interesting and the house was not as we expected. The gardens set on a steep hillside were quirky and had we not done the... 更多
Set high up in stunning surroundings, you need good footwear to walk around and up and down the gardens. Make sure to go into the museum set underneath the ampitheatre to watch the screens playing the life story of the creator of this place, you need background info or you will be at a loss!!! The house itself is the... 更多
Watch the YouTube videos on line to decide. Pre book the house tour in your language. Beautiful place. Nice gardens, battleship, war memorabilia and history. Mussolini paid for this place to keep d'Annunzio out of room and out of his way.
I was staying nearby and decided to check it out. The house was owned by a famous poet who liked living in the dark because of a war injury but was also able to design a huge garden. To understand the whole place you need to do the house tour and then wander around the estate. The house was so... 更多
Very interesting house and Gardens. Used discount tickets as it's quite expensive now. But worth a visit. There are restaurants and small shops out side so you can eat before entering, although they have a small cafe inside, reasonable prices.
This is a great place to have dinner in an Italian piazza with nice people and nice local food. There are lots of activities during the summer, like concerts, food festivals. It is worth stepping by.
Definitely worth to visit. Just to see a real cruiser from the end of XIX century in the garden. We didn't know Gabriela d'Annunzio before and we were so surprised - this men was so self oriented but he had talent to make his crazy ideas real. Our kids liked the museum (without the guiding tour) so I recommend this... 更多
