These two Stabiae villas are outstanding and while not on the usual tourist track, it is more than worthwhile seeking them out. Both casualties of the 79AD eruption of Mt Vesuvius only 16 kilometres away, the volcano is highly visible from each villa. With some ruins the imagination gets a work out, with trying to envisage what buildings may have... 更多
well worth the visit if in the area- we had been to Pompeii & got it included so went another day - don't do the same day
..this small but much more complete variation on post Vesuvius eruption is excellent..can be walked in 2 hours or even less..most impressed and free as well!
Everyone has pretty much covered everything about the two sites in here. Would have liked to... 更多
