Some buildings need better care. The watermill f.i. has a problem that is very loud and clear. One top grinding stone is in disbalance and not correctly hung/ centered.
During the Danish summer holidays Hjerl Hede offers its visitors a taste of what life was at different times in history. Try the steam train, taste the traditional Danish "rygbrød" (rye bread) and attend lessons at the village's school. Well worth the visit.
