Grear spot for surfing. Very rocky beach not recommended for young kids who want to just play in the sand considering there is a near by Conrad beach full of sand. Very popular high traffic spot but great for adults

Lawrencetown beach is a must see for anyone visiting the east coast. I was lucky and often see it on a good day but it can be foggy. Nice sand and is perfect day out for any family. Surfing lessons are also available.
I love visiting this beach any time of the year. It is spectacular when there is a lot of surf, and fun to watch the surfers ride the waves. There is a large parking area and public toilets. Also there is a good restaurant and board rental place nearby.
Coming down the hill we could barely see the shore but once we got over the bluff the crashing waves were just what we wanted to see! A surf lesson for my son and some beach time for my daughter worked out well although they both got beat up a bit by the surf and rocks. Water is cold but...
