Cheesewring is one of the highest points in Cornwall. It is located near the village of Minions. There is a Car Park near several paths which will lead to the Cheesewring itself. It is a good walk and on a clear day you can see for miles, from the coast to Dartmoor to St Austell China Clay Tips. Recommended good... 更多
Recently came to live in the area and now starting to explore!! The Cheesewring was fantastic to see after the lovely walk from the car park, and so glad that we wore good walking shoes. On arrival at the "hill" the first thing you see is Daniel Gumb's cave, he was a stonemason and lived in this cave with his... 更多
Its hard to imagine how these rocks/stones were put here. The weight alone its amazing, worth the walk and climb up the hill. Also say hello to the horses grazing.

Do pop into the converted mine house which is now a small museum. There are some wonderful insights into the... 更多

You nearly always have to book for food, that should tell you how popular this local pub is. Extensive menu, specials, something for everyone.
Millions of years old. On a nice weather day, it is well worth the walk and climb to the top of this historic site. The views are well worth the climb.
The walk up to the Cheesewring from Minions is guaranteed to be exhilarating. There are very few days where it is not blustery on the top, but this adds, rather than distracts from the experience. An amazing view and the feeling of being on top of the world.
I was staying with my best friend in Polperro and we wanted to do a walk to see some ruins or deserted buildings that wouldn't leave us gasping. This walk from Minions to The Hurlers stone circles and then up to Cheesewring Tor was just what we were looking for. There is a free car park in Minions and you... 更多
