Went to forvie sands with the border terrier walking club - about 8 border terriers in all - had a great 2 hour walk - it was a beautiful day which helped - all dogs had a great time on the sand and playing in the water - would recommend totally!!
Spent a couple of hours here,great walks in the dunes and woods,viewsgreat car parking excellent and well laid out,good information throughout,well worth a visit.
This is an amazing area for relaxing and watching wildlife. During breeding seasons you might see Osprey, Terns, thousands of terns and there is 100% chance of seeing seals at this location any time of year. Numbers can vary from a handful to over a thousand. Really nice walk with my friend and saw lots of birds then walked round to ythan and saw seals a plenty Great walk on a nice day but could be blustery
Regularly take the dog for a walk here and we absolutely love it. The circuit is about 45-55 minutes long, ample parking, great views at the coast and best of all it's quiet and peaceful. Hackley Bay is a nice added extension to the walk. Would recommend this nature reserve to anyone visiting the area
Called in here the other day and enjoyed a very pleasant walk around the Heath Trail from the Forvie Centre. Well laid out and signed paths. Due to the fairly strong Easterly breeze, not much wildlife on the move though good numbers of common birds - Meadow Pipit, Reed Bunting, Willow Warbler and Lesser Redpoll.
