I live just up the road from the Mansion, take my dog here for a little walk every so often. It's such a shame it's been left to rot as it has. Still the gardens are being maintained and they look lovely, the gardeners do a great job.
We are very sad to see this beautiful mansion being left to rot, it used to be quite a visitor attraction, and the beautiful garden are just being let go, as are the lovely tennis courts, which are surely a useful amenity to Paignton! This is a pleasant part of Paignton, but unfortunately not possible to visit the castle just the garden is open. You can feed the squirrels because the animals are very friendly. The garden is very nice, the plants are abundant and vivid, there are lot of palm tree and mediterran plants.

The gardens (& tennis courts) are still open though, well kept & a lovely place for a stroll or a picnic on a nice day. Plenty... 更多

this was a fantastic local landmark, I have very fond memories from as early as I can remember, stunning grounds and a magnificent main building. it's a shame that we will not be enjoying it for much longer as the council have let this piece of heritage go and pawned it out for development ...... shameful
