Had a walk round the market- well worth having a walk round- you will find some thing to buy which you can pick up from your local super market! very nice old building-some history in the building

We were in Durham for an afternoon The indoor market is a great piece of English history, with the various shops, restaurant upstairs and a nice historical building. Definitely worth a look.
Worth a look around for a typical old market - I don't know the age but the entrances look very historic and contains a warren of aisles with all sorts of stalls and a mezzanine café looking out over the river
Great wee indoor market with big cafe area overlooking the stalls. Everything on sale, lots of different independent shops. Great for the community as well. Wish we'd had more time to see the rest of the shops as well. Brilliant.

Heading for the Cathedral and noticed the Market in the corner of the square so popped in for a look-see. Lively and with a good mix of produce and other stalls, it is well worth a visit when traveling through Durham.

A bustly little market with loads of history. There isn't much you can't get here...from fruit and veg to Moroccan lamps and just about everything in between! If you are in Durham then you must visit.
