long stretch of golden sand, walk past the first 100 yards and there are very few people. Beautiful views of the lake district mountains and Black Coombe. probably the worlds best kept secret!
For a lovely day out. At the sea side without commercial rubbish earned bay is the place to go long golden beach kids can lay to their hearts content big car park but no shops so don't forget a picnic ice cream van goes on good sunny days
One of the nicest views of a sunset you'll get in the UK. It's really quiet and picturesque with the mountainous hills in the background. Beach was pretty good as was the drive there. Lovevly walking routes all around. Locals are really friendly.
Beautiful little bay, hardly anyone there. Kids ran around on the sand Watched the sunset, very nice. Clean place..there is a path to follow if you like walking. Or people just park and sit in their cars watching the sun go in
i only live 2 mins from this location and i must walk here at least 3 times a week its a really loverly place with good views and great to walk up the beach if you like kite surfing you can see more often than not alot of kite surfers out in the bay
We went to Walney Island to eat at the Ferry Carvery. We ate and drove the island. Ernse Beach was not well-attended in the middle of the week. Not many visitors. The tide was out and we could see many grounded boats. It looks like the tide must run 10 to 12 feet here.
I live 100 yards from here so what more can I say - stunning views of the Lake District, nice superb sandy beach, a fabulous walk on a fine day
Earnsea bay is a lovely long streach of sandy beach all though tidal it is safe to swim and play in sand. There is a golf course and a store , a Aerodrome which has a glidiñg school near by.An ideal place for a visit with the mountains of the Lake District has a backdrop.
Beautiful wild coastal scenery and spectacular sunsets. Never have to jostle with the crowds here. Enjoy the rocky beach, wildflowers and series of paths up up the north of the island. Feels like you are miles from anywhere. Unfortunately no facilities nearby, so take a flask and a sandwich if you plan to walk far or stay for long.
