A lovely place to stop whilst walking the Rodwell trail, the gardens are very well kept and the castle a hidden gem of history. We found the castle while walking the Rodwell Trail. Great views and good information boards. Maybe not worth going to on its own account but definitely worth a look if you're in the area.
Great little place for a quick visit and wander. Great views and some history to soak up. Better to add to an itinerary than to make a special trip to see.
Not an awful lot to fill the time but interesting enough and a great view of Portland. Wouldn't make a special visit but if you are passing go.
We stopped here when on a bike ride along the Rodwell Trial. Great views, a brief history of the castle and a lovely little cafe to get some food and drink makes this a welcome stop.
Sandsfoot Castle was built in the 16th century on the edge of an unstable cliff. Sandsfoot is beautiful. We often walk there along the Rodwell trail which is peppered with information boards along the route.
