Really lovely gardens, split into rooms and a charming little tea room available as well. House is a holiday let so you only see two rooms downstairs but you're really there for the Gardens.
I've just spent a lovely couple of hours on a sunny September afternoon in these pretty & tranquil gardens. They weren't pretentious. I felt very peaceful wandering around & enjoying the plants/bees/birds etc. The woodland walk was added fairly recently I believe. I found a wonderful spot to relax for an hour. It was on the swing bench seat. The... 更多
I love Tintinhull. It has a magical atmosphere and never disappoints. On this occasion we were limited for time, so ate our picnic lunch and then just wandered around the lovely grounds. The kitchen garden looked superb, with well tended veg and cutting flowers. Plenty of seating to enjoy the peace and quiet. The orchard is worth visiting too. There... 更多
We went on to Tintinhull after the slight disappointment of Lytes Cary. Our expectations had been well managed this time, as we knew this was really just the garden of a modest sized house. Despite being early Autumn, we walked into a sunbathed walled garden which still had masses of beautiful flowers, covered by bees and butterflies. The large vegetable... 更多
We stopped off here during a break on a long car journey. The gardens are just a few minutes off the A303, so just a very short detour from our route. The gardens are very nicely laid out and extremely peaceful. The gardens are described as 'room's as each area has a different theme. There are ponds and water features... 更多
This is a must see garden. Charming and atmospheric and unlike many NT properties it has not been turned into a 'sterile' environment. One could almost imagine living here. Well worth spending a couple of hours here if you are in the area.
This small National Trust property has a wonderful little garden but the house is not open. Approached through an orchard, you enter the garden through a courtyard. Lovely planting but no labels so you will need to use the planting guide if you spot unusual plants. It's a must if you are in the area or passing through on route... 更多
This is a very small National Trust property known for its delightful garden. Two rooms are open in the house, which give you an idea of the lifestyle of the one-time owners. The main reason to visit, though, is the gardens. Best in summer, there is a series of small, walled gardens, two containing water features. it doesn't compare with... 更多
Tintinhull isn't the largest National Trust garden but it must be one of the most beautiful and fascinating. It is certainly worthy of a couple of hours of your day. Three rooms of the house are open to view and there is a gorgeous court yard cafe, too. Because the garden is at the top of a no-through road -... 更多
