Fantastic visit to house and Gardens. House not to big and it's all set out as it was for the bankers back then. You can touch and open many of the exhibits there. Really experience what it was like back then. Gardens are beautiful not to big to walk around. Would definitely re visit with the children.
My partner and I spent a lovely bank holiday Monday in this national trust house and garden. We had no idea what to expect as we had noticed this house on our way to Stratford but glad to say we stopped on our return journey to investigate! The house was showing a fascinating insight to how the owner Lord Bearsted... 更多
Upton House is 2 miles from home and we were embarrassed to say we had never visited. So off we went, and had a good wander round the house where we found the guides to be a bit stuffy and not very informative, we felt as though we were interrupting their sit down. Needless to say we didnt hang around.... 更多

Plenty of free parking on hard standing. The driveway to the house is... 更多

We visited here with family and had a great time. It is a lovely house and setting. The house is currently set up as it was during World War II which gives a fascinating view. The cafe is excellent and well appointed. There's lots to do and in the house you are able to handle many of the exhibits. Good... 更多

A stately home kept as it was during WWII. Used by the owner to move his London Bank out of danger. Interesting story. Also home to an amazing art collection with many dutch painting as well as a few masters. All surrounded by lovely gardens. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers ensured a great afternoon.
Visited this property Saturday not really expecting much and was pleasantly surprised by how they set out to tell the story of this house and its owners during WW2,special thanks to the very informative gentleman in the film screening room
