My son and daughter in law were married there last weekend and I couldn't think of a more perfect location for the ceremony. The bells heralded the approach of the invitees and families and fortunately the sun shone and everything went to plan. The cathedral usher was excellent, the vicar conducted an excellent service and we all went to Dunkeld... 更多
Dunkeld is a great place to stop if travelling north. A walk over the Telford Bridge then stroll past the restored cottages to the cathedral. The grounds are lovely to walk round and you can even sit by the river if weather permits. If you fancy a longer walk head up to Dunkeld House Hotel. You are surrounded by huge... 更多
Amazing piece of history!!! The grounds of the Cathedral are beautiful, don't think you would get much better! Great to see the old part getting saved from the weather damage. We went on a sunny day, great to sit by the river and watch the world go by! Cheers Paul Anderson
The cathedral here is well worth a visit and it was good to see that restoration work is well in progress. so if passing by on the main road it makes it worth while to drop in to Dunkeld but I do not think this place is worth making the effort just to make it the object of a day... 更多
Good place to visit in general but if you use the audio tour (we did the 1 hour version) then the visit is really enhanced and explains not only the cathedral but the surrounding landscape.
This Church of Scotland cathedral is amazing. The old part in under extensive restoration at present so we couldn't see much of it. The newer part is a lovely church . A very helpful gentleman showed us round and explained a lot of the history. The cathedral is in a stunning location on the banks of the river Tay -very... 更多
Visited towards the end of the day so didn't have long. The chapel is fabulous and worth spending a bit of time soaking in the history. For me however, the landscape in which it is set is the winner. A stunning spot on the banks of the Tay and spending time in the quietness of the grounds was lovely. A... 更多
Such a beautiful spot. We stopped here on a tour and visited the cathedral. It is absolutely stunning. They are currently working on some restoration so we couldn't see the inside very well, but the outside and the parts we were able to walk into were breath taking. The park outside is a very peaceful place to relax and take... 更多
The cathedral is on the bank of Tay river and the environs are so beautiful. The peaceful church is great place sit and have a moment of reflection. I also learned a lot about the Dunkeld area and about Scottish highland and lowland history reading the displays in the church. A must see when in the area!
